Gmail Backup saves and restores complete archives of your Gmail email account using Gmail’s built-in IMAP capability.

The Windows version comes with a simple graphical interface — just enter in your email address and password, select a backup folder, and click the Backup button. It will save your messages in Microsoft’s EML format complete with attachments. The Linux version (which also works with Mac OS X) is command-line only. Besides enabling offline access to your archives, you can use the restore feature to upload messages to another account, making it easy to transfer old messages to a new account. I supports regular Gmail accounts as well as Google Mail in Germany and Apps For Your Domain email accounts, as long as POP/IMAP access is enabled under Settings. I am writing my first ever post on Windows Vista, and i am feeling really uncomfortable. Its a clean installation of Vista and my the first thing i thought of was to dwonload firefox. So was running Internet Explorer to download firefox and i thought of chechking my mails same time, so i typed http://gmail.com on the address bar. I was suprised to see a Certificate Error page. I tried http://mail.google.com suprised and still gets the same.

So I just decided not to use Internet Expirier anymore and thought of blogging about this matter. And ran wordpress using IE and was even telling me to browsehappily and safely.

Browse Happy says “Internet Explorer can make your computer unsafe. Why not switch to a browser that’s more secure?”
So Just switch to firefox!

It has been years since Microsoft released Notepad, which actually is very useful. But i was never satisfied with the features and the style of notepad. Years have passed. Microsoft haven’t updated the features in notepad. I am using the same notepad i used with Windows 98 still in the Latest Operating system of Windows, Windows Vista.

I am tired of it and thought of touching it myself. But found an easy way. I got the modified version of notepad from a website with the source code. I guess you can imagine how happy i would be to have it. So i started my working on it. Modified it a bit and here it is ready to use.

I am pretty exited to release it. It actually has been modified quite a bit. An installation help file will be with the compressed folder which you can download from here.
